Like many construction projects, every scope of work can vary significantly from project to project. Our estimator will coordinate a time and day to schedule a meeting at the job location to better analyze what scaffold alternatives and solutions we can provide. Our estimator will measure the specified area where the scaffold will be installed. (free of charge) After determining the scope of work, Active Scaffold will send an estimate with details and cost for scaffold installation.
The maximum days of scaffold rental is for 30 days. However if you wish to continue with the scaffold, the cost for additional rental is 20% of original cost every month thereafter.

If the scaffold is within the boundary of your property, there is no need for a permit. However, if any part of the scaffold needs to go on the sidewalk or public right of way outside your property, you must get a permit. We recommend you check with your local council for more information. For more detailed info follow the link below from San Francisco Public Works.

Active Scaffold does not partake in applying for permits. As our team will only participate in erecting and dismantling scaffolds, we do not take full responsibility or liability for permit’s general requirements while its duration of the project. (i.e. maintaining cleanliness, free of litter, dirt, and equipment, clear access, etc, on roadways or pedestrian paths) Violations of the above requirements may be subject to financial penalties up to $1000 per day. As one of our main goals is to be fast responsive to our customers needs, we aim to coordinate and handle our scheduling with importance for quicker project planning and execution. Typically we aim to get our customers’ requests A.S.A.P. and in no more than a week’s wait. Regarding the disassembly, we ask that you give Active Scaffold at least a week’s notice to avoid wait time once the project is completed.
A critical part of scaffold assembly is the proper knowledge on how to tie off scaffolds. Not only is it mandated by OSHA but it is important for your crews safety and safety of others. Scaffold becomes more unstable as you build it taller. As many structures are built differently, ties must be appropriate for each surface of the wall. We have various tie methods for all types including anchors for wood, stucco, concrete, and more.
Active Scaffold is not responsible for patching holes left by scaffold ties. At time of scaffold removal, ties will be removed as the scaffold is disassembled downwards. Our team will coordinate with contractor/painter to work together in making sure we leave structure patched, caulked, and painted.
